Description
The Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media (CUF60107) is a nationally recognised qualification, delivered and assessed according to the requirements of the industry developed Screen and Media Training Package (CUF07). The program is designed to build valuable skills and knowledge in the areas of screenwriting, directing and producing and cinematography with complimentary skills in camera, lighting, editing and post-production, sound recording and sound design. Throughout the program there is a strong emphasis on industry knowledge and employability skills, collaboration, team building and professionalism.

Career Outlook
The program prepares you for transition into the international film industry as an independent industry professional focused towards a variety of roles: screenwriter, story editor, development executive, executive producer, producer, production manager, director, assistant director, script supervisor, sound recordist, camera department, editor, post-production supervisor, cinematographer, director of photography.
Entrance Requirements
There are no vocational requirements or educational qualification pre-requisites for the program. However, applicants must be over 18 years old and should be able to demonstrate experience and/or ability to meet the demands of the program including a high level of English language and a strong interest in/knowledge of film as a creative medium. Entry to the program is by applying on line and an interview.
How the course is taught
The course is a total immersion program, delivered over two years full-time emulating worldwide film practice.
You will have complete creative control, using high-end production facilities and you will be encouraged and supported to enter your best work into international and local festivals and screenings. On completion of your course, copyright will rest with you as the filmmaker.
Annual Showcase
Each year we hold a prestigious event aimed at showcasing the best films of the year. In addition we actively encourage students to enter films in the various film festivals held around the country.
